Is the joy of being a physio over?
Yes, hard it is, being a physio.
During under academic years, the visualizations are of patients standing in front of us in future, with folded hands, thanking and blessing us a million times, for bringing them out of troubles which no one else could for many years.
Initial years into the career, the realizations range from knowing the ‘shocking’ facts and challenges of the trade, to questioning self for choosing to be in this presently unorganized and unregulated field in India.
Introspection on the career plans ahead in the field is affected by many factors, including personal biases, ego, choices of comfort, clarity and priorities on personal and professionals goals ahead, quality of futuristic informations, etc.
Between the monthly assured salaries and personal aspirations to ‘fly independently’ and to ‘do wonders to the world’ as a private practicing physiotherapist, the steps to strengthen one’s prospects in the field may get slow or stalled, gradually more and more, over a period of time.
So, the way out?
